Riding and caring for horses fosters confidence, independence and responsibility.  Foster these traits in your children through Reading and Riding Summer Camp!  Lasso your child’s attention and excitement while enhancing reading skills by combining horses and instructions.   At the Reading and Riding Summer Camp, children augment linguistic skills then read to our therapy horses. May Spotlight – Ava Alexander of Ft. Mitchell, KY

These donations have been collected by Ava Alexander and were donated by the students of Beechwood Schools in Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky.  Ava is a strong supporter of New Day and has a particular affection toward Porter, her therapy horse.  Ava struggles with mood dysregulation and attention problems.  By learning ways to handle distress through equine facilitated psychotherapy (EFP), Ava has been able to increase school attendance and spend more time with friends.  Her love for Porter inspired her to lead a donation campaign, collecting therapy supplies for other children and…
